Version 1.2 (Nov 10, 2006)
- There are now four difficulty levels with new pirates to battle
- Pause function added
- A settings menu may be invoked on the title screen by pressing enter
- Start positions can be randomized for less predictable games
- Minimap is available as an optional aid to navigation
- Music and sound effects can now be disabled
- Message speed can be chosen and messages should no longer be cut in half
- Added option to display which pirate controls which cities
- Enemy pirates now take over cities from each other
- Reduced the "blocking" area around enemies
- Emilia no longer turns into a ghost ship when sunk
- Repaired the broken animations
- Reversed enemy speeds so the toughest ships are the fastest
- Sinking a pirate is slightly more rewarding
- Added WASD/CTRL controls, moved "clear log" to TAB and assigned ESC to pause/exit

- Towns heal slower during battle
- Targeting AI is much improved
- Less noticable seam in the world wrap
- Completely revamped the pointless scoring system and added high scores
- Immediately opens a window on launch instead of waiting for all data to load
- Fixed the Kheria/Oriole cannon confusion
- Added a random component to the balls within a volley
- Improved the framework graphics loader
- Fixed a framework timer bug with the potential to lock up the game on start
